The Coordinator of Student Organizations in Student Life plays a pivotal role in supporting the mission to develop student leaders and foster involvement. This position will support the development, success, and engagement of student organizations through facilitating their requests for space, coaching leaders on event management, working collaboratively with student and full time staff, and coordinating relevant programs. This position plays a vital role in facilitating meaningful student experiences while ensuring compliance with university policies and supporting the overall mission of the unit. Required Qualification: Bachelor's degree and experience developing, administering, and implementing programs for college students. Experience advising student groups, in student personnel or student services. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, administration, and external stakeholders. Professional demeanor. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including presentations, written correspondence, and reports. Attention to detail. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with a graduate degree in student affairs administration or related field. At least two years of professional experience working with student groups to provide advising, program planning, interpretation of institutional policies, risk management and leadership development opportunities. Experience with event planning and risk management concepts related to student organizations. Strong attention to detail and successfully managing concurrent tasks. Independent decision making and problem-solving ability. Knowledge of student development theory and experience with student affairs assessment or program evaluation. Demonstrated strategic and innovative approaches to problem solving. Experience supervising professional and para-professional staff. Experience building partnerships and collaborating across departments in a post-secondary institution. Salary: $58,750 (non-negotiable) Working Conditions
