ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sr. Scheduler, T&D will prepare, monitor, and update fully loaded schedules for varying project size and complexity. The Sr. Scheduler is expected to coordinate the collection of relevant schedule data, project progress, and work with Project Managers to ensure that project objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time parameters. The Sr. Scheduler will provide scheduling training as needed for project teams. Sr. Scheduler may provide scheduling support to others as needed

Essential Functions

  • Support project teams by preparing, monitoring, and updating resource and cost-loaded construction schedules in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Develop full Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-generated baseline schedules for projects and proposals
  • Deliver frequent, schedule update performance and analysis
  • Prepare schedule reports as required including critical path view, baseline vs actual view, look ahead views, and milestone views
  • Prepare summary and detail-level schedules
  • Participate in all schedule reviews as required at Operations Review
  • Conduct schedule and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reviews
  • Provide support and training in the use of project and scheduling software to office and job site staff
  • Review lower tier subcontractor schedule submittals (RFP, Baseline, Updates) and advise on any concerns
  • Evaluate schedule performance and provide recovery strategies when delays or risks are identified
  • Identify opportunities and take action to build collaborative relationships within the organization while focusing on achieving business goals
  • Analyze situations by gathering and organizing information, assessing cause and effect relationships, and recommending potential solutions
  • Regular and predictable attendance

  • Essential Functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience scheduling construction projects in the electrical industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing Primavera P6
  • Experience in transmission, distribution, substation or renewable construction projects preferred

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field required; a combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree
  • CST (Certified Scheduling Technician) certification is preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Expert proficiency in creating, maintaining/updating and reporting schedules in Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, and practices
  • Expert knowledge in creating and maintaining project baselines for frequent schedule updates
  • Advanced knowledge of cost, resource loading, and forecasting within scheduling software
  • Expertise in planning, monitoring, and reporting project schedules to the customer
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents including contracts and drawings
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proactive self-starter with demonstrated initiative
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite software, specifically MS Project and Excel
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of project management software and data analysis tools
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
