Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Current welding certification from an accredited organization, such as AWS Certified Welder, or equivalent certification.
  • Additional training in welding, metal fabrication, or manufacturing is beneficial.



Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding based on production requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
  • Ability to pass a company weld test and produce welds that meet quality and customer specifications.
  • Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is preferred.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication, welding inspection, precision measuring tools, and safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Forklift or overhead crane certification and experience are beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.



Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Ability to frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Ability to work in hot manufacturing environments and around welding fumes.
  • Ability to safely operate welding equipment and material-handling equipment when certified.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the work shift.


Job Duties

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding according to engineering drawings, customer specifications, and production requirements.
  • Set up and safely operate welding equipment and inspect completed welds for quality, strength, appearance, and proper penetration.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components, fixtures, and prototype or production parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
  • Measure, grind, cut, and prepare materials before welding and perform minor fit-up and fabrication work as needed.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment when properly certified.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas according to 5S standards and follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and report equipment malfunctions, defects, and quality concerns promptly.
  • Inspect completed work before submission and support continuous improvement and waste-reduction initiatives.
  • Work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 AM, with starting pay based on welding certification and experience.
