This role is involved with month end processes to ensure a timely and accurate month end close. Ad-hoc reporting, audit requests, and project support are additional tasks that this role may be asked to assist with. This role will work with Internal/External Audit multiple times a year presenting Balance Sheet Reconciliation and the steps/concepts to complete them. This position works directly in support of multiple Internal Controls related to the OTC process and maintained by the Sales Accounting Supervisor.

This position is not hybrid/remote and will be located at our global headquarters in Cleveland, OH.

Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

CORE RESPONSIBILITY 1: Highly involved in month-end close process

  • Create journal voucher entries
  • Review AR balances at a high level to ensure completeness
  • Ad-Hoc requests from management
  • Close AR systems working with IT support as needed
  • Uploading entries in support of other teams across the organization (Ecofees, Revenue Deferral, Lockbox Clearing Activity, Check Deposits, Jet Lease Entries)

CORE RESPONSIBILITY 2: Monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Timely completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Research balances to determine why they exist and what must happen to clear them. Researching and resolving AR variances in excess of $100K
  • Lockbox, AR, AR Suspense, and VOC/Ecofee Reconciliations
  • Uploading reconciliations into RCM

CORE RESPONSIBILITY 3: Review of Daily Sales Reports and issue resolution

  • Monitor Daily Sales Reports to ensure all invoices generated in AOM are transmitted to Oracle R12 and the Cloud GL
  • Working with IT to notify them of identified issues and following up for timely resolution
  • Monitoring the Oracle Kickouts Report and submitting issues to IT for resolution

CORE RESPONSIBILITY 4: Management Presentation

  • Scheduling and leading meetings with upper management to address variance write-off requests as needed

CORE RESPONSIBILITY 5: Assist with various ad hoc projects

  • Utilize Data Services technology to automate manual tasks
  • Working with an FTDP employee to help train on tasks rotated to the position

CORE RESPONSIBILITY 6: Presentation to Internal/External Audit

  • Present Balance Sheet Reconciliations to internal/external Audit as needed multiple times per year.
  • Act as a resource to answer any questions related to AR/Lockbox Reconciliations with support of the Supervisor

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field (GENERALLY, IF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IS ACCEPTABLE, THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THREE YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE FOR EVERY ONE YEAR OF COLLEGE EDUCATION REQUIRED)
  • 2+ years of Accounting, Finance, or related experience
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Preferred:

  • Experience with RCM Reporting and Oracle R12
  • Familiarity with Sales Accounting concepts, and working cross functionally with multiple teams
  • SW reporting tools (Factfinder, Microstrategy, Onestream, etc)
