Essential Job Duties
The Agricultural Technician will support research, development, and commercialization
activities in Controlled Environment Agriculture ( CEA). Primary responsibilities include the
installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of controlled
environment and horticultural equipment; calibration and maintenance of sensors,
controllers, irrigation systems, and environmental chambers; plant production and crop
management; execution of controlled environment research experiments; data collection,
organization, and quality control; inventory management; development and maintenance of
bills of materials (BOMs) for equipment and production systems; and general laboratory
and greenhouse operations.

The position will also interact directly with commercial growers and industry partners to
support technology deployment, troubleshoot production issues, coordinate plant orders,
and facilitate technology transfer. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean,
organized, and safe work environment; performing routine facility maintenance; operating
research and production equipment; and completing other technical duties necessary to
support both research activities and commercial plant production operations.

Work Schedule:
Standard work hours are Monday through Friday; however, occasional
evening and weekend work is expected to support research experiments, crop production
activities, facility maintenance, and time-sensitive agricultural operations.
