Job Description

The Trulaske College of Business seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual for the position of Business Support Specialist II. This position will provide a broad range of essential business and office support for the Department of Finance.

This position will be responsible for the following tasks:
* Serve as a source of general information for full-time faculty, adjunct instructors, graduate assistants, alumni, and other staff and faculty of the College of Business
* Provide continuing office and administrative support to Finance department chair (e.g., typing, calendar management, office reception, event planning, writing original correspondence, scheduling rooms/meetings)
* Coordinate finance department events (e.g., advisory board meetings, programs, student groups, faculty meetings)
* Maintain College course listings including the processing and updating of schedule changes
* Facilitate all operational aspects of instruction including monitoring teaching loads, distributing predefined reports, and managing course evaluations
* Collect and archive course syllabi; respond to requests for archived syllabi
* Provide support in the processing, documentation and monitoring of unit budgets, funding, grants, contracts, payroll, employment, travel, billing and/or purchasing
* Facilitate faculty recruitment process, including posting, candidate selection, and offer extension.
* Coordinate hiring and onboarding process for Finance part time instructors. Request all overload payments for the department.
* Other duties as assigned

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

* Great customer service, organizational and communication skills
* Demonstrated bookkeeping or reconciliation experience
* Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office Programs
* Ability to manage a high volume of transactions and multi-task accordingly
* Maintaining confidentiality, trust, and demonstrating utmost professionalism working for the department chair

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.50 - $26.00 per hour

Grade: GGS 006
