Description
Develops, implements, maintains, and improves the company-wide Quality Management System (QMS). Provides expertise and governance across facilities to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements, including IATF 16949 and applicable AIAG standards. Job Responsibilities
- Owns and maintains the company QMS.
- Ensures company-wide adherence to IATF 16949 and other standards.
- Develops and maintains standard quality system processes across all facilities.
- Leads internal and external audits, including certification, surveillance, customer, and second-party audits, serving as primary point of contact. Maintains schedules and records of audits and status.
- Documents and monitors QMS performance metrics and reports results regularly to leadership team.
- Ensures effective integration and continued use of AIAG core tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives and promotes a culture of quality, compliance, and improvement.
- Leads quality review processes, identifies areas of improvement, recommends solutions, and ensures follow-up and corrective actions are completed to a satisfactory degree.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including projects of varying scope.
Job Skills Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and AIAG core tools.
- Proven experience leading quality audits and managing third-party registrars.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Change management and continuous improvement mindset.
- Requires periodic travel to manufacturing facilities and customers, expected 25%.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field required.
Experience Requirements
- Seven years of experience working in quality systems.
- Manufacturing experience highly preferred. Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
