Position Summary:

This position has overall responsibility and authority for the condition, reliability and availability of all 747 aircraft interiors. Work in coordination with Engineering and take the lead on providing inspection direction, coordinate with procurement in seat spares provisioning requirements, coordinate with Materials to source parts and oversee and assist line mx during scheduled interior maintenance events. Manage and develop the master plan for aircraft interiors from Line MX through Heavy Maintenance visits.

Major Job Accountabilities:



  • Manage interior condition on all 747,767 fleets and create plans to repair in coordination with line maintenance, maintenance planning & MCC.
  • Manage finding interior part suppliers and work with material and procurement to set up terms.
  • Oversee interior repair vendors and work with procurement to set up terms.
  • Analyze and initiate standardized interiors for the 747,767fleet.
  • Develop interior repair and maintenance guidelines and checklists for overnight and extended ground time visits.
  • Develop periodic maintenance visit plans and establish an inspection program/interval for zonal clean ups.
  • Develop documentation and training programs to assist in trouble shooting and repairing IFE systems.
  • Manage and respond to any violations from the military or PAX complaints.
  • Works with flight ops to comprise a procedure for reporting cabin defects correctly and ensuring each issue is addressed from the log book items.
  • Update/review NEF items and assist in maintaining NEF database.
  • Support PAX aircraft when in rotations away from base as required.
  • Support maintenance planning while aircraft in check as required.
  • Ensures CMM's for PAX aircraft components are revised per the OEM and on the revision list (with engineering and document services).
  • Develops policies and procedures to ensure aircraft in maintenance are properly cleaned and protected. (Aisle runners, boot socks, etc.).
  • Addresses all PAX/FA/crew reports as well as AMC violation responses and actions.
  • Takes the lead in getting new parts uploaded into Trax to reflect effectiveness.
  • Manage Materials and Procurement in obtaining parts, tooling, and specialized services.
  • Serves as the program manager for cabin reconfiguration or modification between engineering, materials, maintenance programs and procurement.
  • Reviews cabin items for repeat issues and/or trends. Determines root cause and implements policies and procedures to rectify.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to develop material standard specification by listing all raw materials need to maintain interiors.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and In-Flight with IFE systems upgrades and enhancements.
  • Develop work scopes and budget for planned maintenance visits.
  • Support and back up to the Manager, Passenger Fleet Interior Programs (767)


Qualifications:



  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required
  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience required
  • Passport for Travel required
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years work experience with passenger A/C
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Familiar with Outlook, Excel, Word and IE.
  • Ability to interact, communicate and maintain relationships with vendors, customers and all levels of management.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze vendor agreements and coordinate contractual requirements.
  • This position will require travel (50%)

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range
$94,000 $126,500 USD
