The Department of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in partnership with
UNC Health and Chatham Hospital, seeks a Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Physician for the
UNC Chatham Hospital Emergency Department.
UNC Chatham Hospital is a 25-bed rural Critical Access Hospital located in Siler City, NC, approximately 30 miles from Chapel Hill. The newly renovated 15-bed ED sees approximately 18,000 visits annually and is staffed by Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine physicians and advanced practice providers.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a diverse and energetic group of physicians providing emergency care to a rural community. The ED team is supported by advanced practice providers, telepsychiatry services, on-site interpreter services, a system transfer center, and
UNC AirCare. We use Epic as our

MRI available five days per week. Bedside ultrasound and GlideScope are also available. The Maternity Care Center is staffed 24/7 with cesarean section capability, and cardiology and general surgery consultants are readily available.
Physicians in the ED practice group are employed through the
UNC Department of Family Medicine, consistently ranked a top academic family medicine program in the United States. Our mission is to provide outstanding, compassionate health care to the surrounding rural community. The ED serves as a training site for medical students, residents, and fellows.
