As an unarmed patrol officer in a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals accessing a government service location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, entry points, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and provide directions or assistance to visitors.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
