Responsibilities

Salary:

Anticipated Pay Range: $70K-82K per year. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:

  • Locates sources of problems by observation, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Investigates failures and performs root cause analysis to eliminate systemic issues and improve long term performance
  • Evaluate preventive maintenance effectiveness and support TPM events
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Troubleshoots 480Vac power systems and 120Vac electrical controls.
  • Uses calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for determining dimensional data of components.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Uses electrical meters to identify voltage, current, capacitance, resistance, etc. of various types of electrical circuits.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Dismantles and reassembles machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment, as directed.
  • Rigs equipment for installation or relocation, as directed.
  • Installs conduit and field wiring for all on site areas.
  • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, positions sensing devices, and printed circuit boards

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read basic blueprints to install equipment and components
  • Must be familiar with and provide all types of hand tools as required.
  • Must be able to work in varying heights up to and including 50 feet.
  • Must be able to communicate with various levels of personnel (Maintenance leadership, production leadership, and equipment operators).
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops & reviewing technical publications.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Must be able to provide documentation in the original form establishing both your identity and your employment eligibility in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of electrical experience working on and troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • 3+ years of experience in reading electrical components and wiring diagrams for performing equipment repair.
  • 3+ years of experience in rebuilding/repairing gearboxes, hydraulic systems (valve/solenoid/actuator), and mechanical drivetrains (Shafts/gears/bearings/seals).
