Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent manufacturing, foundry, or production experience will be considered.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions in English.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous learning through company-provided training programs.


Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Grinder Operator, Foundry Worker, Manufacturing Associate, Production Technician, Metal Finisher, or General Laborer is preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, grinding equipment, and material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify casting defects and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification and safely operate industrial equipment.


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50+ pounds with assistance when required.
  • Ability to stand, bend, squat, twist, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Capable of working in a manufacturing or foundry environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.


Job Duties

  • Operate grinding equipment to remove cosmetic defects from castings before machining operations.
  • Visually inspect castings and identify surface imperfections, defects, or quality concerns.
  • Ensure castings meet quality standards by producing a smooth, defect-free finish.
  • Report recurring defects or quality issues to supervisors to support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, overhead cranes, and semi-automated material handling equipment as trained and authorized.
  • Maintain machinery, tools, patterns, and equipment in good working condition.
  • Support production goals while following company quality, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in required training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
  • Perform additional manufacturing, foundry, and production-related duties as assigned.
