Finance, Accounting, Transfer Pricing & Hospitality Operations Position Type Full-time, on-site, Dallas/Corporate-based finance leadership role Primary Systems Opera PMS, Oracle Financial Systems. Required Credentials CPA, Accounting degree or equivalent, VAT, Transfer Pricing experience and local tax knowledge. Fluent in English and Spanish Overview The TradeCo Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and operational finance activities of a hospitality trading company operating in a transfer pricing environment. This role will oversee the accounting and financial controls associated with intercompany transactions, transfer pricing arrangements, foreign currency transactions, indirect taxes, and hospitality operations. The successful candidate will serve as a key financial partner supporting both corporate and operational stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and transfer pricing requirements across multiple entities and jurisdictions. This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, hospitality industry experience, and a deep understanding of trading company operations. The ideal candidate will possess experience working within complex multi-entity structures involving cross-border transactions, multiple currencies, VAT compliance, and hospitality systems including Opera Cloud. Reporting to the Director of Finance and/or Director of Shared Services, the Assistant Director of Finance will help ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence while supporting the strategic objectives of the organization. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting * Manage the daily accounting operations for the trading company, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information. * Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies. * Ensure all intercompany transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and supported. * Maintain the general ledger and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. * Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Accounting * Administer accounting for transfer pricing arrangements between affiliated entities. * Ensure transfer pricing calculations are accurately recorded and supported in accordance with established agreements. * Monitor intercompany balances and reconcile transactions between multiple legal entities. * Partner with Tax, Treasury, and Corporate Accounting teams to ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies. * Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external transfer pricing reviews and audits. * Analyze transfer pricing impacts on profitability, cash flows, and financial reporting. Hospitality Operations Support * Support accounting and reporting processes related to hotel operations, including rooms, food and beverage, retail, spa, and other hospitality revenue streams. * Collaborate with property finance teams and operational leaders to resolve accounting issues. * Ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance with hospitality accounting standards. * Assist in developing and maintaining hospitality accounting policies and procedures for the trading entities. Tax, VAT & Regulatory Compliance * Maintain compliance with applicable VAT, sales tax, indirect tax, and other regulatory requirements. * Coordinate with internal and external tax advisors regarding tax reporting obligations. * Review tax-related transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment. * Support preparation of tax documentation required for local and international compliance. * Monitor changes in tax legislation and recommend necessary process adjustments. Systems & Process Improvement * Utilize Oracle and Opera PMS systems to support accounting operations and financial reporting. * Participate in system implementations, integrations, and process enhancement initiatives. * Develop and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures. * Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and operational efficiency. * Support data integrity across finance systems and reporting platforms. Leadership & Business Partnership * Supervise and mentor accounting staff as assigned. * Provide guidance and training on accounting policies, procedures, and systems. * Build strong relationships with Operations, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, and external partners. * Assist leadership with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives. * Support special projects and business transformation efforts. Qualifications Education * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. * CPA designation required. * Equivalent international accounting designation may be considered. Experience * Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. * Minimum 3 years of hospitality industry experience required. * Experience working within a trading company, distribution company, or transfer pricing environment required. * Experience accounting for cross-border and intercompany transactions required. * Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environments required. * Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Technical Knowledge * Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. * Strong understanding of transfer pricing methodologies and intercompany accounting. * Knowledge of VAT, indirect taxes, and international tax regulations required. * Understanding of foreign currency accounting and currency translation principles. * Experience supporting external audits and regulatory examinations. Systems Experience * Oracle Financial Systems experience required. * Opera PMS experience required. * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. * Experience leveraging AI, automation, and technology solutions to improve finance processes is a plus. Preferred Hospitality-Specific Experience * Hotel ownership, management company, or resort accounting experience. * Experience supporting Mexico, Canada, or other international hospitality operations. * Familiarity with USALI reporting standards. * Experience with foreign currency transactions involving USD and MXN. * Experience accounting for agency, principal, or commission-based business models. * Experience supporting transfer pricing structures between operating entities and trading entities.
