Senior Delivery Solutions Engineer - Multiple Positions

Senior Delivery Solutions Engineer (Multiple Positions), Databricks, Inc., Plano, TX. Lead the design and development of complex solutions to customers' biggest challenges in big data, analytics, data engineering and data science problems and guide the technical evaluation phase in a hands-on environment throughout the sales process. Serve as a technical advisor internally to the sales team and work with the product team as an advocate for customers in the field. Help customers to achieve tangible data-driven outcomes through the use of Databricks Lakehouse Platform. Work with customers to understand their business and technical requirements. Develop and execute a project plan, including advising and managing the implementation of Databricks products/technology. Consult on Big Data architecture and implement proof of concepts for strategic customer projects, data science and machine learning projects. Build reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers. Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues, including diagnosing open customer issues, documenting and managing risks during the engagement, escalating issues to the engineering team as needed and triaging and prioritizing feature requests. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science or a related field plus 48 months of experience in data engineering, machine learning, data science, data warehousing, or technology consulting.

In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science or a related field plus 24 months of experience in data engineering, machine learning, data science, data warehousing, or technology consulting.

Qualifying experience must include 24 months in each of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

• Programming experience using at least one of the following languages: Python, Scala, Java, SQL or R;
• Building solutions with at least one public cloud provider: AWS, Azure or GCP;
• Big Data Analytics domain including advanced proofs-of-concept;
• Big Data technologies, including at least one of the following: Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, OLTP, OLAP, DSS, Pandas, Scikit-learn or HPO;
• Managing client relationships, including delivering technical propositions, evaluating customer needs/interests, and successfully implementing technology;
• Functioning as a technical advisor to customers in the domain of Data Engineering, Data Warehousing and Data Science.

Up to 10% travel (domestic/international) based on business need.
