This Therapist II role offers opportunities for professional growth, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a trauma-informed culture committed to safety, healing, and continuous improvement. As a Therapist II, you will play an essential role in delivering evidence-based behavioral health services, developing individualized treatment plans, and partnering with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to promoting resilience, recovery, and emotional well-being. A Typical Day for a Therapist II may include -Therapy Delivery: Facilitate structured psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational groups, along with providing individual therapy, for a diverse adult population with wide-ranging psychiatric diagnoses -Assessments & Risk Management: Conduct intakes, to formulate a clinical assessment including for patient's biopsychosocial needs, medical and mental health history, as well as conducting risk assessments and safety planning with the patient as needed -Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in treatment team meetings to formulate treatment plans, collaborating closely with other mental health treatment providers, and patients' families -Discharge & Care Coordination: Collaborate with community resources to connect them with appropriate aftercare services, as well as other supportive services to active patients -Clinical Documentation: Complete accurate and timely electronic health record documentation for all assessments, therapy sessions, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policy, state and federal regulations, and regulatory standards, To be considered for this Therapist II opportunity, -Masters degree from an accredited school of Social Work or Counseling degree from an accredited school, PhD from an accredited college or university -Licensure: NJ State licensure, LCSW, LPC is preferred, LSW, LAC is acceptable depending on experience -Excellent customer satisfaction skills -Two years or more years job related clinical experience At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
