Here's what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: Position Overview The Learning Consultant (LC) works with clients to execute on large/complex customer facing projects that support critical business process, application deployments, and other larger multifaceted initiatives which contribute to the overall strategic direction of an organization. The Learning Consultant is an expert in instructional design, adult learning theories, and emerging training technologies. This collaborative role provides programmatic direction and oversight to an internal team of instructional designers and other internal roles as well as the client project team to design, deliver, and evaluate large-scale training and OCM programs for variety of situations, including new hire onboarding, re-skilling, technology integration, and product launches. This role is highly visible, collaborative, and uniquely positioned to convey the mission, vision, and values of TEKsystems to our clients. This is a fully remote, 14-week contract assignment. Responsibilities *Needs Assessment: oLead the efforts to analyze and confirm the performance problem. oLead efforts to collect data needed for learning and performance solutions and to inform change strategies. oConduct audience analysis of learners and stakeholders to document audience preferences and characteristics through interviews, surveys, and focus groups. oLead the job-task analysis for impacted roles to identify critical competencies, performance support needs, and learning objectives. oAnalyze client source content, target audience demographics, job tasks, and learner environment to identify learning objectives and appropriate instructional strategies. oRecommend learning and measurement strategies. oCatalog Subject-Matter-Experts and engage during analysis. oCoordinate the identification of subject-matter-experts or performance exemplars with the client. *Curriculum Design: oCreate detailed curriculum maps that reflect the analysis and demonstrate the closure of knowledge or skill gaps. oDevelop learning objectives that are aligned with organizational goals. oConsult with stakeholders to shape and confirm the learning strategy. oApply the appropriate instructional design methods (e.g., ADDIE, Agile). oCreate options for delivering engaging training or performance support (e.g., simulations, job-aids, games, hands-on activities, interactive case studies, role-plays, and assessments). oDevelop final report of recommendations that meet the client's expectations and budget. oProvide thought-leadership on adult learning theory and principles, adoption accelerators, and delivery options. oCreate and manage epics and stories for agile projects. oCommunicate progress and outcomes of learning programs to key stakeholders. *Coordinate Training Delivery Logistics: oAssist customers with Learning Management System (LMS) selection and implementation recommendations. oAssist with recommendations for course registration and prework. oCoordinate instructor assignments. oTrack instructor deliveries. *Creation of Evaluation, Communication, and Maintenance Plans: oDevelop an evaluation plan that can be used to gauge the impact of training interventions on performance and organizational goals. oDevelop a maintenance and operation plan outlining solution delivery (i.e., training or performance support) and maintenance needs. oDevelop and implement communication plans to promote learning initiatives oDevelop playbooks to support rollout of training programs - Train-the-Trainer, etc. *Industry Leadership: oActively research and mentor team on emerging learning technologies, methodologies, and support systems resulting in the most effective and efficient solutions. oIdentify new potential internal and external relations for tool, technology, and capability advancement. oRaise the bar on existing learning solution development process, techniques, and solution types appropriate to improve instructional design and development skills. *Coaching and Mentorship: oMentor and coach Instructional Designers to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality solutions. oLead development of learning standards for organization. oMonitor and review instructional design deliverables. Required Skill Set *Technical Skills: oComprehensive knowledge of e-learning and industry standards (such as SCORM and AICC) that govern how digital learning content interacts with Learning Management Systems oComprehensive knowledge of instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, human behavior and performance, methods for curriculum and training design, and the measurement of training effectiveness oProficient in leveraging human performance improvement methodologies to identify performance gaps, develop targeted solutions, and evaluate effectiveness oDemonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills oComprehensive knowledge of common of current learning development software oAbility to analyze source content and extract relevant information for instructional purposes oWorking knowledge of main TGS business areas, including AI, application modernization, data modernization, and ITSM oAbility to use visualization and diagramming tools (e.g., Mirro, Visio) to design and communicate instructional design concepts, curriculum structures, and learning workflows oProficiency with online communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) and etiquette for engaging in asynchronous communications *Critical Business Skills: oDemonstrated ability to apply a consultative approach, including active listening, problem analysis, and solution-oriented communication to address client need oExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a thorough knowledge of English grammar, composition, and conventions for different contexts (formal and informal) oStrong collaboration and leadership skills to build trust with client and internal stakeholders and provide directions to team oAbility to identify problems, risks, and issues; engage clients in challenging conversations to address concerns, mediate effectively, develop solutions, and implement a course of action oAbility to interpret unclear or evolving requirements and translating them to well-defined, actionable steps oStrong business acumen with proven ability to deliver impactful presentations (e.g., persuasive, informative, facilitative, advisory) and manage client relationships effectively oProfessional interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills oSkilled in planning and prioritizing work to optimize productivity and meet deadlines oAbility to work independently while collaborating in a team environment oAbility to organize, prioritize, coordinate and implement multiple projects oStrong emotional intelligence skills for understanding perspectives, managing emotions, and maintaining positive client and team interactions oAbility to identify and document risks using structured tools and frameworks *Program Oversight: oResolve complex problems and mitigate risks oPresent issues and negotiate effective solutions for resolution in a highly complex or sensitive cross functional environment oApply business and financial skills to managing instructional design projects oAdhere to financial budget and timelines for complex projects oCollaborate with cross practice partners to co-create solutions and provide recommendations for addressing risks and issues oAbility to anticipate interdependencies and potential risks across projects oEnsure a "meets expectations" for CSAT of supported projects/clients oMeet deliverable goals and quality expectations based on business requirements oManage cross-practice partnerships to ensure success *Team Leadership: oHighly independent and a team leader oFoster collaboration and partnerships by actively engaging team members to leverage their expertise and diverse experiences in developing effective solutions oBuild relationships among development team and stakeholders oInfluence work of supporting team members when serving as project team lead oAccountable for own behavior to achieve highest level of teamwork and collaboration Required Qualifications, Education and Experience *MA preferred or a BS or BA degree from an accredited university, ideally in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Performance Improvement/Technology *7 or more years of experience in Learning Strategy or another related field *3 or more years of experience providing Learning Consulting in a corporate environment *Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment at a high level of competence *Effective collaboration skills with vendors, internal customers, and clients *Ability to build and maintain credibility with internal and external contacts *Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills to deal with internal and external contacts *Strong consulting, analytical, negotiating, problem-solving, decision making, and problem-solving skills *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $109.00 - $109.00/hr.
