About The Role

Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a Full-time Branch Trainer II for our Pleasant Grove Service Center.

Role:

Focused on providing the best customer service in every situation. Train and pass on the skills, attitude and behavior to other Altabank employees to best serve Altabank's clients. Have a love for learning and the ability to teach complex processes and systems in a simple straight forward way.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates learning programs/events to support the operations group and specifically the Relationship Bankers position, including: New hire training job skill, new account, systems and product, and customer experience training
  • Delivers training in both a classroom and virtual settings
  • Help reconciles employee training data and reports via tracking system
  • Conducts training needs assessments, including conferring with management and staff, to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations, and changes in policies and procedures.
  • Communicates with Operations Managers to identify topics or individuals that need additional training resources
  • Continually updates material and ensures that it is consistent with Branch processes
  • Identifies new learning content and methods that can impact employee knowledge growth
  • Shadows and reverse shadows new hire
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training
  • Adhere to Altabank Core Values.
  • Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Participate in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of the Altabank.
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
  • Represent Altabank in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive "can-do" attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy. Attends and participates in meetings as required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers.
  • Additional duties as requested or assigned.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year to two years of similar or related experience.

  • A high school education or GED.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Client first attitude with ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Go the extra mile to engage customers
  • Ability to facilitate/deliver instructor-led training in person and via virtual platforms
  • Self-motivated; strives for quality and researches new techniques
  • Measures new hire progress and adjusts as needed to ensure timely proficiency
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-directed with exceptional follow-through
  • Strong client service, good listening, and ability to work well with a diverse group of internal customers
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

Frequent local travel and occasional overnight travel to other branch locations. Average local travel will be 20-40 hours a week.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
