Position Summary Reporting to the Manager of Technical Project Management, this role manages enterprise-wide projects and department-level technology projects within Information Technology Services (ITS). As Technical Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with technical leads and campus peers to design project plans that support success, build stakeholder engagement and maximize customer satisfaction. Working closely with project leadership, you will prepare dashboards, status reports, project documentation, and regularly present updates to both technical and nontechnical audiences across the university. This role operates within MSU Denver's increasingly cloudforward, vendorintegrated, datadriven technology ecosystem. You will be responsible for understanding system dependencies, integration impacts, and data governance considerations to ensure projects are delivered smoothly and sustainably. This position is part of a broader project management career path which may lead roles like Senior Technical Project Manager and Technical Program Manager roles, which take on larger, more complex, and more strategically integrated initiatives. Job Duties and Responsibilities 75% Project Management You will be assigned a diverse range of strategic and operational projects, ranging in scope from software implementations (i.e. cloud-based and SaaS) and AI development projects to infrastructure and audiovisual system deployments. Salary for Announcement We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $74,944-$87,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
