Position Title: Instructor of English as Another Language Compensation: $1,600.00 - $2,000.00 Department: Div of Lifetime Learning, NonCredit - Temp Start Date: 08/31/2026 About this opportunity: We areseekingqualified, enthusiastic, and culturally competent candidates to join ourPart-Time Adjunct Instructor Poolfor Adult EAL (English as Another Language). We offer8-week cohorts throughout the year, with our next session starting at theend of August. Applicants admitted to this pool will be reviewed andhired on an as-needed basisprior to the start of each cohort.Our in-personclasses are taught atdifferent locations:Fishers,Indianapolis, andWhitestown.We are currently seeking faculty for the Fishers location. This is a part-time temporary position teaching 32 hourstotal(2 hours, twice aweekin the evenings) for8 weeks. Continued teaching opportunities may be available. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. What you'll do and what you'll bring: Position Description: In this role, instructors facilitate dynamic, practical language instruction for adult learners aiming to improve their English for personal, professional, or academic goals. Position function andduties: Instruction:Deliver engaging, learner-centered English lessons focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing for real-world adult contexts. Lesson Preparation:Plan and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs, skill levels, and cultural backgrounds of adult students. Classroom Management:Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where adult students feel confident practicing new skills. Assessment & Tracking:Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, andmaintainaccurateattendance records. Communication:Coordinate with program administratorsregardingcurriculum, student needs, and facilitylogistics. Minimum qualifications Education:Bachelor's degree preferably in education, English, or TESOL Experience:Prior teaching experience Skills:Strong cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility, patience, and enthusiasm for working with adult learners. Reliable transportation to your assigned location (Fishers, Indianapolis, or Whitestown).
