What You Will Do: Lead client engagements before the IRS, resolving complex issues related to examinations and appeals Contribute to strategic initiatives to expand and enhance the Tax Controversy and Procedure practice. Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation, service line development, and market expansion. Spearhead internal and external knowledge-sharing efforts, contributing thought leadership on evolving and contentious tax matters. Participate in industry forums, author technical insights, and support firm-wide training initiatives. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored, high-impact tax solutions aligned with client objectives and regulatory requirements. Ensure seamless integration of controversy services with broader tax and advisory offerings. Mentor and develop junior professionals, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and career development support. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture focused on excellence and continuous learning. Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and client satisfaction. Demonstrate strong communication and time management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Non-exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and half pay for employees that work over 40 hours in a workweek. IL Minimum Salary (USD) $ 135700 IL Maximum Salary (USD) $ 281900 Virginia Wage Transparency Pursuant to Virginia's Equal Pay Law, the salary range displayed is for the Virginia market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs. VA Minimum Salary ( USD) $ 123400 VA Maximum Salary (USD) $ 256200
