Pediatric Anesthesiologist & Division Chief, Pediatric Anesthesiology University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill | UNC Children's Hospital The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an accomplished Pediatric Anesthesiologist to serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology at UNC Children's Hospital, the state's leading academic children's hospital, and a major regional referral center. This is an outstanding opportunity for a visionary clinical and academic leader to guide a nationally respected pediatric anesthesiology program while maintaining an active clinical practice across the full spectrum of pediatric care. The Division's practice encompasses all pediatric anesthesiology subspecialties, caring for patients ranging from healthy outpatients to the most medically complex neonatal and surgical patients. UNC Children's Hospital serves as a destination center for advanced pediatric care, offering comprehensive programs in pediatric and neonatal critical care, ECMO, congenital cardiac services, burn and trauma care, pain management, procedural sedation, and solid organ and bone marrow transplantation. As Division Chief, the successful candidate will help shape the future of pediatric perioperative care, education, research, and faculty development within a highly collaborative academic environment. The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology provides more than 12,000 anesthetics annually to children from across North Carolina and neighboring states. The division is home to an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship and serves as the primary pediatric anesthesiology training site for the UNC School of Medicine. Faculty are actively engaged in resident and fellow education, multidisciplinary collaboration, quality and safety initiatives, and scholarly pursuits. The Department of Anesthesiology offers a rich academic environment supported by a state-of-the-art simulation center, a robust Global Health Program, and strong partnerships throughout the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health.
