| Primary Purpose of Position |
This position is responsible for the accurate and timely Banner data entry of all employment actions (new hire, promotion, horizontal, special payment, etc.) associated with all University employee designations (Faculty,
EHRA,
SHRA, non-student temporary, and student). |
| Minimum Education/Experience |
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

| Essential Job Duties |
Responsible for the accurate data entry of personnel and pay-related actions into Banner HR, within all established payroll deadlines.
Will be responsible for data integrity for information that is manually and automatically entered into Banner HR and the employee's personnel records. Pay actions will include: setting up new hires, changes to an existing assignment, such as extensions, fund and salary changes,
FTE changes, leave statuses, and separations. |
| Other Work Responsibilities |
The successful candidate will have:
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working in a high-volume, automated payroll environment.
- The ability to work independently, with general instructions.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Banner HR is a plus. However, knowledge of any HR Management system is required.
- Experience in working within multiple computer systems and programs.
- The ability to recognize and question all work submitted for processing to eliminate redundancy and incorrect information.
- The ability to do simple and complex calculations of salary actions.
- The ability to adhere to deadlines and have the ability to multitask and prioritize work.

- Experience working in higher education is a plus.
- Understanding of FMLA and workers' compensation.
- Experience with Banner, HRM systems such as PeopleAdmin, and an I-9 system such as LawLogix.
- The ability to work independently, with general instructions. Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
