Position Summary: The Retirement and Operations Specialist is responsible for handling, monitoring, and researching deposit and retirement related activities. Handles calls related to deposit and retirement inquiries, maintenance, account reviews, tax inquiries and reporting and quality control. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position can be located in Metairie or Mandeville. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:
GED or High school diploma 5 years of direct experience with a focus on Retirement, Health Saving Accounts and Deposit Operations Knowledge of retirement product services Developed cognitive skills to include Problem Solving, Judgement, and Decision Making Developed intrapersonal skills to include Ambition, Follow-Through, Optimism, Resourcefulness, and Development Developed interpersonal skills to include Communication: Listening, Speaking, and Writing, Collaboration, and Client Focus Previous banking or financial industry experience Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field Knowledge/Experience with: Horizon Syste Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides customer assistance with retirement questions Responsible for maintaining the retirement account documentation for all types of retirement customers Assist with yearend reporting of all retirement plans including tax forms, year-end statements, Keogh tax forms, and distribution letters Review of new accounts and exceptions list Review maintenance processed by branch staff Review daily retirement transactions processed at all branches Assist branch personnel on any retirement transaction Assist fielding calls on branch policies and procedure Provide backup support for the daily operations and processing of wire transfer functions, including assisting with wire requests, processing, verification, research, and other related operational duties as needed.
