Our team crafts and disseminates press releases, media statements and other communications to highlight the Firm's achievements, legal victories and superb insights. We build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure positive coverage and handle media inquiries with professionalism and accuracy. The team also oversees internal communications, ensuring that employees are informed about key initiatives and developments. Additionally, we manage the Firm's social media presence, create engaging content and monitor public perception to proactively address any potential issues. Through strategic communication efforts, our team ensures that the Firm's reputation remains strong and its messaging consistent across all platforms.

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and diligent Coordinator, Communications - Content Production (CPC) to join our Content Production team, which sits within the broader Global Communications function. The CPC will play a central role in managing and executing video and audio projects for both internal communications and external Firm marketing from initial planning through delivery and archiving.

Working closely with the Associate Director and the rest of the Content Production team, the CPC will plan and coordinate global video shoots, handle logistics for in-person and remote productions, organize and safeguard digital assets, partner with technology teams and vendors to implement and support production tools and workflows, and help ensure platforms and back-up protocols are optimized for the team's needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Maintain comprehensive project tracking, ensuring active projects are accurately monitored throughout their lifecycle and that team hours are properly recorded.
    • Manage the project archive spreadsheet, ensuring that key data is thoroughly catalogued.
    • Proactively identify and resolve production challenges or risks to keep projects on track, escalating when needed.
    • Lead Content Production team check-in meetings.
  • Production Coordination
    • Develop and maintain detailed filming schedules for global video shoots, ensuring all participants are scheduled and filmed within deadlines.
    • Coordinate logistics for both in-person and remote video shoots, including arranging equipment transportation, liaising and training local AV/IT teams, and reserving rooms for filming.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient communication across the board.
    • Assist producer and videographer with in-person and remote video shoots.
    • Create stringouts of footage and generate transcripts as needed.
    • Lead the quality control (QC) process for all video content, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Technology and Asset Management
    • Maintain project assets from initial filming through to archiving, ensuring all folders are properly organized, files are backed up to both local and remote servers, and file duplication is prevented.
    • Work with IT team as needed to update automated back-up protocols.
    • Lead the implementation of new tools and workflows by preparing business cases, shepherding vendors through risk assessment, and collaborating with technology teams and other Firm stakeholders to deploy solutions (e.g., Riverside, QNAP, Iconik) to best optimize the team's workflows.
    • Manage ongoing support of existing platforms and technologies (e.g., Riverside, Podbean, QNAP).

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of video production experience, preferably in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment
  • Firm understanding of the video production and post-production process
  • Strong project management experience (PMP certification a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to prioritize among competing priorities and multi-task across a broad spectrum of collaborators
  • Strong problem-solving, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills across a range of tasks and audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a proactive team player and take initiative
  • Ability to work independently, as well as on a team to meet deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Premiere Pro and After Effects a plus
  • Familiarity with Digital Asset Management software a plus
  • Teleprompter experience a plus
  • A sense of humor and a positive attitude

Location and Reporting

  • This is a full-time role based in New York, New York.
  • This role reports to the Associate Director of Content Production.

Compensation range - $73,600 - $85,000
