Hourly Student Employment - Fitness Attendants

• Provide a world-class member experience with exercise education, equipment orientations, answering member questions, and managing emergencies
• Maintain and clean fitness equipment according to standards and protocols
• Utilize necessary software applications for facility operations
• Apply risk management strategies to protect everyone and minimize liability
• Identify and report potential hazards to ensure a safe environment
• Enhance your skills through professional development and training
• Use effective communication techniques with members and guests
• Adapt to various personality styles and backgrounds when assisting members
• Incorporate feedback to improve professionalism and future experiences
• Apply exercise science knowledge to assist members during workouts
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of fitness equipment and safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team for a minimum of 6 hours per week
• Must be CPR/First Aid/AED certified or able to obtain certification within 60 days of hire
• Flexible work availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and ECU sanctioned breaks
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lift a minimum of 60 pounds.
