The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace is seeking a Training Coordinator to work out its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The Training Coordinatoris responsible for providing cross-functional support for all aspects of training for hourly employees to support business and operational needs..

The key responsibilities of the Training Coordinator include, but are not limited to:



  • Development and documentation of training
  • Training oversight of Apprenticeship Programs
  • Sourcing and selecting third party training when training cannot be taught internally
  • Develop and document all certification testing and training to meet requirements
  • Scheduling training for small and large groups
  • Working with management team to identify training needs and how best to satisfy those needs
  • Interact with outside agencies in the development of grant opportunities for training initiatives
  • Maintain annual training calendar to document the schedule for planned training throughout the year
  • Maintain training records for internal and external audit purposes

  • Sidney, NY

    • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
    • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY




Salary: $55,000 - $75,000

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Training Coordinator at Amphenol Aerospace:



  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Experience working as a trainer or experience working in a machining based manufacturing setting
  • Equivalent education/experience will be considered
  • Excellent project management, data collection & organizational skills
  • Ability to present to small and large groups
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to teach and engage learners
  • Good research skills to find reliable and relevant content for the learner
  • Fundamental knowledge of sciences, mathematics, statistics and engineering mechanics
  • MS Office proficiency (especially Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Desk/computer based activities (typing, sitting, bending) 50% of the time
  • Interaction with operations (walking, lifting, bending, climbing stairs) 40% of the time
  • Meetings (sitting) 10% of the time
  • Travel as necessary to coordinate all activities or advance knowledge
  • May sometimes require working alternate shifts to train employees on those shifts
