The Rutgers Graduate School of Education is seeking Co-Adjunct Clinical Supervisors to support teacher candidates during their Fall 2026 clinical placements. Co-Adjuncts serve in a collaborative role alongside the
GSE Partnership Leader, who serves as the official liaison between Rutgers University and New Jersey public school clinical placement sites. The Co-Adjunct is responsible for monitoring, supporting, and evaluating the progress of assigned interns throughout the semester. |

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Master's Degree in educational field. Three years working in Pk-12 schools as a teacher, curriculum designer or instructional supervisor. Experience in urban schools and work with emerging bilingual students preferred. |

| Overview |
Primary responsibilities include assisting with interns' transition into their field placements by participating in the Phase 3 Orientation and conducting an initial virtual Meet and Greet to establish clinical expectations. Throughout the semester, Co-Adjuncts will observe assigned interns on an every-other-week basis through both formal and informal observations. Informal observations focus on reviewing the intern's overall performance and providing ongoing guidance, including holding monthly virtual office hours by appointment. During formal observations, Co-Adjuncts will implement the
GSE Observation Cycle, complete the required observation documentation in the Student Learning and Licensure (
SLL) system, and provide timely feedback and recommendations to both the intern and the cooperating teacher. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication, mentoring, and evaluation skills, as well as a commitment to supporting the professional growth and success of future educators. |
