- The Unit Clerk supports the Radiology department by coordinating administrative and patient service activities that promote efficient departmental operations, timely communication, and a positive patient experience.
- This position serves as a central point of contact for patients, providers, and staff while ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of clinical and scheduling information.
- The role maintains operational workflow through effective organization, documentation management, and customer service.
- The Unit Clerk contributes to quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and overall departmental effectiveness through dependable administrative support.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential.
- Ability to comply with organizational training and onboarding requirements.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and confidentiality practices.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Skill in organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use computer systems, electronic health records, and standard office software.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 1+ years of administrative, clerical, customer service, or healthcare support experience.
- Experience using Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) applications.
- Knowledge of radiology scheduling and registration workflows.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to patient information management.
- Skill in resolving customer service concerns professionally.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
