We Require
- Six months of office clerical experience, which includes customer service
- High school diploma or GED
- A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
- Experience performing data input and record-keeping
- Experience handling multi-line telephone systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills
Job Contributions
- Manage the department file request process
- Create and update case management system records
- Handle the delivery and pick-up of physical case files among various departments
- Answer the telephone; screen, log, and direct calls to the appropriate staff
- Move boxes and other large items; handle minor office housekeeping duties
- Manage and track file transfers to and from off-site storage with outside vendors; coordinate file destruction based on an established schedule
- Perform miscellaneous routine clerical tasks
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with bright lighting and requires prolonged periods in a stationary position, constant viewing of a computer monitor or screen, frequent computer use involving repetitive hand and wrist movements, and occasional exposure to outdoor heat and sunlight.
- Close physical proximity with others, with frequently changing tasks, frequent public contact, and exposure to traumatic subject matters (crime scenes, accidents, etc.)
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds from the floor to the waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead; carry 25-50 pounds 100 feet, and push/pull 25-50 pounds a distance of 1000 feet
- Hybrid and alternative work schedule options are available after training, based on business needs
