DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports statewide cancer prevention and control initiatives by managing programs, guiding partners, and advancing evidence-based strategies. As a Public Health Program Administrator, you will perform the following duties:
- Program Leadership: Lead development and monitoring of cancer prevention and control initiatives
- Partnership Coordination: Maintain strong relationships with federal and statewide partners, coalitions, and stakeholders
- Policy Evaluation: Review guidance, legislation, and data to assess cancer control needs and opportunities
- Data Utilization: Use evidence and surveillance data to guide planning and identify gaps in cancer control activities
- Communication Support: Develop plans and materials that share program progress, inform partners and the public, and meet accountability requirements
- Contract Oversight: Administer grants and contracts to support statewide cancer control efforts

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hour per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. You will report to the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
