Inside Sales Manager

Location: La Mirada, CA (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

About the Opportunity

A well-established industrial distribution and processing company is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to lead a team of six inside sales professionals at its Southern California operation. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role with a stable, growth-focused organization that serves highly technical manufacturing and industrial customers.

The ideal candidate understands how to build and manage a sales process, coach a team to win business based on value rather than price, and collaborate effectively across multiple functions. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on sales execution, customer experience, team development, and business growth.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 Inside Sales Representatives
  • Manage the full inside sales cycle including qualification, quoting, follow-up, and closing opportunities
  • Coach team members on consultative selling and customer relationship management
  • Partner with operations, scheduling, quality, inventory, and finance teams to ensure customer commitments are met
  • Work closely with field sales and corporate leadership to drive branch performance
  • Analyze quoting activity, sales trends, and customer buying patterns to identify growth opportunities
  • Handle customer escalations and support key account relationships when needed
  • Participate in occasional customer visits and regional industry events

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing and developing sales teams
  • Strong understanding of structured sales processes and pipeline management
  • Demonstrated success coaching sales professionals and improving team performance
  • Ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional partners
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in industrial distribution, manufacturing, technical products, aerospace supply chain, or related industries
  • Experience with quoting, forecasting, pricing, or margin management
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
