Your Opportunity

Taylor Visual Impressions, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking an experienced and proactive Inventory Control Team Lead to join our operations team in Duluth, GA.

This role serves as the day-to-day leader of the inventory function, ensuring inventory accuracy, material availability, and efficient inventory processes throughout the facility. The Inventory Control Team Lead will partner closely with warehouse, production, purchasing, and operations teams to drive accountability, resolve inventory issues, and improve overall operational performance.

The ideal candidate combines strong inventory management experience with leadership skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the initiative to identify opportunities, solve problems, and influence positive change. This individual will serve as the facility's inventory subject matter expert and play a critical role in establishing best practices that support operational excellence and customer success.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day inventory control activities across the facility to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related questions, discrepancies, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate and prioritize inventory activities, including cycle counts, audits, inventory adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and material flow to support production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Drive accountability for inventory accuracy throughout warehouse and production operations.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to inventory team members and warehouse personnel on inventory best practices.
  • Partner with receiving, shipping, production, and purchasing teams to resolve inventory and material flow issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure data integrity within ERP and warehouse management systems.
  • Generate, analyze, and communicate inventory metrics, trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, efficiency, and overall warehouse performance.
  • Develop, document, and maintain inventory-related standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Support leadership in establishing inventory control standards and best practices.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, material flow, and process efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and safety requirements.
  • Act as the facility subject matter expert for inventory-related processes and systems.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and other material handling equipment as needed.

You Must Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Previous experience leading, coordinating, training, mentoring, or directing the work of others in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with inventory management systems, ERP systems, or warehouse management systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with inventory reporting and analysis.
  • Proven ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships across departments.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment or willingness to become certified.

Requirements Within This Position:

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility.
  • Regularly lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Regularly operate warehouse equipment and computer systems.

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Prior Team Lead, Inventory Lead, Lead Associate, Warehouse Lead, or Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, D365, NetSuite, Alliance, or similar platforms.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, printing, distribution, or production environment.
  • Knowledge of cycle counting programs, inventory auditing practices, and inventory controls.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
  • Experience developing procedures, training materials, or process documentation.
  • Experience tracking and reporting inventory performance metrics and KPIs.

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
