Department (OPH) Office of Public HealthJob Description: Responsibilities Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to coordinate post-award procurement operations, contract execution and management, quality assurance, and public health infrastructure activities within the Division of Public Health Infrastructure (DPHI). This position plays a key role in coordinating the implementation and management of public health funding opportunities after award selection, including coordinating contract execution activities, monitoring deliverables and reporting requirements, coordinating and monitoring operational workflows, and ensuring compliance with State, federal, and HRI requirements. The Procurement Coordinator will work closely with DPHI program staff, grants management, subcontract management, contractors, and administrative teams to strengthen operational effectiveness, improve communication and coordination, and support accessible funding practices across New York State. The position will also be responsible for leading quality assurance activities, making recommendations for process improvement initiatives, developing and maintaining tracking and reporting systems, stakeholder engagement, technical assistance, and development of operational tools, procedures, and workflows that improve transparency, accountability, efficiency, and overall program operations. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of procurement coordination experience; OR an Associate's degree and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of the such experience. Preferred Qualifications
Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel up to 25% of the time will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Work Location Expectations At HRI, the nature of hybrid and onsite work varies by position. Some roles require full onsite presence, while others allow a hybrid schedule. Managers determine the specific telecommuting expectations for each role based on operational needs and job responsibilities. If designated as hybrid, you will divide your time between working remotely and reporting onsite.
