Job Summary:
Provides assistance with set-up, installation, and operation of basic and routine audio-visual (AV) hardware, software, and associated systems. Prepares rooms, venues, and events with proper AV equipment to ensure functionality and security according to client requests and business needs. Supports the setup and execution of conferences, meetings, and special events by preparing event spaces, greeting and assisting clients and guests, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the event lifecycle. We are seeking a Production Coordinator to support the setup and execution of events at the Discovery Building (330 N. Orchard St.). This essential role is responsible for coordinating and executing event and AV setups for conferences, meetings, lectures, and other special events. The Production Coordinator prepares rooms to event specifications, assists guests with basic AV troubleshooting, supports event operations, and helps ensure the smooth execution of events. Exceptional customer service is a cornerstone of this position, as the successful candidate will interact regularly with campus partners, conference attendees, presenters, and guests. Schedule The primary schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Work outside of these hours, including evenings and occasional weekends, will be required based on event schedules and operational needs. Key Job Responsibilities:
Wisconsin Union - Conference Services and Events Compensation:$21.00 per hour -Plus an additional $2.50 per hour for night hours worked (6pm-6am). -Plus an additional $0.80 per hour for weekend hours worked. -Plus Time and a half per hour for hours worked on designated legal holidays.
