Provides legal counsel and advice to the corporation and its subsidiaries Ensures their effective operation in accordance with federal, state, local and/or international laws.

Essential Functions

  • Provides legal counsel to the corporation and its subsidiaries.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Participates in litigation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA Accredited law school and admission to the bar or equivalent in jurisdiction outside the U.S.

Minimum Experience

Four (4) years of experience and demonstrated competency in relevant area of law specialization.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

Superior academic record. Excellent research and writing skills. Strong negotiation, human relations, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Critical legal support for regulatory compliance, enforcement proceedings, citations, and NOVs. Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and technology skills. Experience in transportation, U.S. and Canadian customs, highway safety, industrial hygiene, and OSHA. Skilled in reviewing legal and technical data, partnering with SMEs and leadership, using Power BI and AI tools, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

Pay Transparency: Memphis- Staff Attorney II: $8,452.14/mo - $14,368.63/mo | Sr Counsel: $13,169.66/mo - $23,046.90/mo | Pittsburgh- Staff Attorney II: $8,896.99/mo - $15,124.88/mo | Sr Counsel: $13,862.80/mo - $24,259.90/mo

Pay:

Additional Details: This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN or Pittsburgh, PA, and candidates must live withina 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week. | Level of offer is based on experience level.
