Job Title - Assistant Project Manager - Governmental Location -various domestic locations Resumes will be reviewed continuously. What You Will Do * Assists the project manager in managing construction projects, to include planning, directing, coordinating or budgeting activities relating to construction. Assists in meeting job requirements and controlling costs by coordinating and effectively utilizing all of the resources needed on each project. * Assists in assessing scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project. * Assists in verifying complete estimates for projects with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, take-off information, contracting, etc. * Assists in planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control) and providing day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff. * Provides technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders. * Assists in monitoring the efficient use of materials and equipment and the contractual performance of the project. * Assists in the administration of financial tracking systems to monitor project costs and estimates the remaining cost to complete cash flow forecasting and resource planning. * Has responsibility and accountability for developing, implementing and executing an effective Safety and Health Program on the project. * Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
What We Expect Education / Experience -Minimum high school diploma/GED and 7 years' experience in the construction industry. Four-year degree in engineering or construction management and 10 years' experience in the construction industry preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -Shows leadership, concise execution of plans, vision of project future, and effective communication of vision to subordinates, integrity, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of all applicable Caddell processes and procedures. Strong client relations skills are a must. Excellent organizational skills.
