DESCRIPTION

Under general direction of the assigned Nursing Director, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative, clerical and project management support for a division that has 500+ individual nursing staff. Handles the personal calendar for senior director, assists with complex meeting planning, provides project management supports, handles travel reimbursement, handles small supply purchasing, handles capital purchasing, handles quality care metric tracking, assists with monthly reports for quality and patient satisfaction, handles relocation reimbursement for new hires, manages new employee files for new hires., handles daily operations reports for sitters and discharges, supports the Tier 2 daily engagement meeting for the Oncology and Neurosciences nursing division, other work as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous administrative support experience in a high volume/complex environment.
  • Experience working in an acute hospital administration unit.
  • Medical Terminology, must have knowledge of correct grammar and spelling.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree.
  • Medical Center experience
  • UCSD Systems experience: HRS, PPS, Infopac, Travel Link, Payroll Systems.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $61,429 - $88,030 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $29.42 - $42.16

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
