Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Data Quality and Governance leads the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of data quality products and governance processes that support trusted, reliable enterprise data. This role manages and develops a team of data quality engineers while providing direction on priorities, execution, and delivery. The position also partners closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to align data governance practices with operational needs and business objectives. Through this work, the role helps ensure data solutions are effective, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Determining and applying strategic approach to each business use case
  • Facilitating meetings with business partners to understand business processes and recommend appropriate governance and quality solutions
  • Managing data quality team tasks and projects
  • Assisting and directing technical build of data quality and governance products
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Experience leading development teams
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to mentally acquire/process large amounts of information (including complex business logic) and how it applies to different business processes.
  • Negotiation and decision-making skills. Must be able to make hard decisions and articulate why.Strong influencing skills. Ability to sell governance as a benefit to our business partners.
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Quality Principles, Data Profiling, and Data Governance
  • Develop strong working relationships with process owners, data stewards, product owners to create trust and confidence in data solutions.
  • Team player

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (4 years) Required
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Science is preferred

  • Office Environment
