This position is a data analyst/programming position for the Cardiovascular Genetics Center and the Amyloidosis Program within the Cardiovascular Division. The primary role of the Sr. Data Analyst will include database creation and improvement, data management, and data cleaning as well as report generation for ongoing clinical epidemiological research projects, including large cohort studies and genetic-epidemiological studies. Key duties include programming (Stata, R, SAS), database creation (REDCap or SQL), data management, data harmonization and cleaning, report design and generation, user interface design, and creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs)/documentation. Data Analyst will oversee the merging and tracking of multiple streams of data, including demographic data, longitudinal cardiac imaging, clinical data, and genomics data for both including creating specific analytic datasets. In collaboration with lead statisticians, Data Analyst will assist in statistical analyses. The Data Analyst will provide input on quality improvement processes related to data capture, implementation and oversight of data management and maintenance (e.g. documentation, SOP creation), and assist with intermediate and final report generation, provide quality assurance monitoring and monitoring for data anomalies from data input from various sources and sites, conduct basic statistical analyses, create visuals (Tables and Figures) from data sources, and assist with preparation of manuscripts and grant applications.
Summary Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Collect, clean, and transform large and complex data sets from various sources for analysis. -Partner with aligned senior leaders to determine and plan for data analytics/reporting needs of a business unit or functional area(s). -Mentor and train other data analysts. -Identify trends, correlations, and anomalies in data and provide explanations or recommendations based on findings. -Create clear, concise, and visually compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports. -Present complex data and analytical findings in a meaningful and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. -Performs comprehensive quality assurance, ensuring that data and reports meet end-user specifications and are accurate and reliable.
