Position Summary

The Security & Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, facility access, asset protection, and security systems support across RK Industries facilities, offices, yards, and job sites. This role provides supervisory leadership for security personnel and vendor partners, facilitates facility security needs throughout RK, supports administration of access-control systems such as Brivo, and partners with Operations, Facilities, Safety, Human Resources, after-hours monitoring vendors, and IT to maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, direct, and support security personnel, contractors, and vendor partners assigned to RK facilities, offices, warehouses, yards, and job sites.
  • Facilitate security operations and facility support throughout RK, including access control, visitor management, badge administration, perimeter security, and site security readiness.
  • Administer and coordinate security systems such as Brivo, surveillance cameras, alarm panels, gate controls, and related access-control platforms; review user access and escalate system issues as needed.
  • Monitor and audit access permissions, facility openings and closings, secured areas, gates, doors, fences, equipment yards, parking lots, and critical access points.
  • Partner with Facilities, IT, Safety, Human Resources, Fleet, Operations, project teams, and leadership to support security policies, investigations, emergency response, and corrective actions.
  • Develop, communicate, and enforce site access procedures, key and badge control processes, visitor procedures, and security standards across RK locations.
  • Lead incident response for security alarms, emergencies, disturbances, unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, workplace concerns, and other security events.
  • Review daily activity logs, incident reports, access-control records, camera footage, and inspection findings to identify trends, gaps, and risk mitigation opportunities.
  • Conduct and document security inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits for facilities, job sites, equipment yards, parking areas, and perimeter controls.
  • Remain available for on-call response to emergency security incidents across RK facilities, providing direction, escalation, documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders, law enforcement, fire departments, or emergency responders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and follow-up actions related to security operations, Brivo and access-control administration, incidents, audits, and corrective actions.Recommend process improvements, security enhancements, equipment needs, staffing adjustments, and training opportunities to strengthen asset protection and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure security practices support company safety policies and help protect employees, contractors, visitors, tools, equipment, materials, vehicles, buildings, and company assets.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain after-hours security procedures and response protocols to ensure consistent facility coverage, timely escalation, and appropriate communication with leadership, operations, and emergency contacts.
  • Supervise and enforce after-hours access-control standards, including visitor entry, employee badge use, alarm response, emergency callouts, and documentation of any security-related incidents.
  • Maintain and periodically review security procedures, post orders, and facility protocols to ensure compliance with RK standards, site-specific requirements, and operational needs across all RK facilities.
  • Coordinate with local fire departments, police departments, and emergency response agencies to ensure current facility protocols, emergency contact lists, office layouts, access points, and response procedures are accurately communicated and maintained.
  • Manage and track Knox Box/Knox Lock access information, including inventory, location records, authorized access coordination, and periodic verification to support emergency response readiness.
  • Facilitate regular reviews of emergency response documentation, including evacuation routes, office and warehouse layouts, restricted areas, alarm procedures, and access-control expectations for first responders.
  • Perform other supervisory duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, facilities management, business, or related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, lead security, law enforcement, military, facilities, access control, or construction site security experience preferred.
  • *Experience with access-control and security technology such as Brivo, badge systems, surveillance cameras, alarms, visitor management platforms, or related systems preferred
  • Strong leadership, coaching, scheduling, delegation, accountability, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional communication with Facilities, IT, Safety, Human Resources, Operations, field leadership, contractors, vendors, and emergency responders.
  • Ability to evaluate risk, prioritize competing demands, make sound decisions under pressure, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong report-writing, documentation, audit, and follow-up skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, email, and security system software
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability

  • Frequent and prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking within facilities, offices, warehouses, yards, parking areas, and job site environments.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, by radio or mobile device, and in virtual settings
  • Manual dexterity is required to operate a computer, keyboad, mobile device, badge/access-control equipment, security systems, and standard office equipment.
  • Close vision is necessary for reading, computer use, reviewing camera footage, auditing access-control records, and performing detailed documentation tasks.
  • Occasional reaching, bending, stooping, or kneeling may be required while inspecting gates, doors, access points, equipment, or facility conditions.
  • Noise levels are typically low to moderate but may vary, particularly when visiting field, shop, warehouse, or job site environments.
  • Possible exposure to typical manufacturing, warehouse, construction, and field-related hazards in certain job locations.
  • Must comply with all company policies, procedures, access-control standards, confidentiality expectations, and safety requirements.
  • Consistent, punctual attendance during core business hours is essential, with flexibility to support urgent security, facility, or systems-related needs when required.
  • This position is primarily office-based and located in the Denver Metro Area. Reliable transportation is required for commuting and regular travel between RK corporate offices, facilities, yards, warehouses, and job sites during business hours
  • All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
