The position integrates financial planning and analysis with advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled forecasting to enhance decision-making, speed, and accuracy at Ciena. The role contributes to modernization of forecasting processes and delivery of actionable insights at scale. How you will make an impact: Deliver forecasting, budgeting, and rolling forecast processes Analyze financial variance and generate performance insights Develop driver-based financial models Create dashboard and business intelligence reporting using Power BI or Tableau Automate reporting processes and workflows Validate data across systems including ERP, Anaplan, and Snowflake Enable AI-driven forecasting and analytics use cases The must haves: Education: University or college degree in Finance, Business, Economics Experience: 2+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience Application of forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis Utilization of advanced Excel and business intelligence tools Ability to translate data into business insights Application of communication and collaboration in cross-functional environments Application of automation, data, and emerging technologies in finance workflows Nice to haves: Certifications: CPA or CMA in progress or completed Experience with Anaplan or planning tools Experience with Snowflake, SQL, or data platforms Working knowledge of Python or automation tools Exposure to AI or machine learning applications in finance Pay Range: USD 68,300.00 - 109,100.00 CAD: 61,600.00 - 98,400.00 #LI-SG Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
