UI Health Care's Marketing and Communications department has a temporary Visuals Associate position available. This role helps UI Health Care's faculty and staff shine by supporting teams and departments with visuals including portraits, group shots, marketing/communication initiatives, and event photography.

Duties include:





    • Capture high quality, professional photography with an emphasis on studio portraits.
    • Post-production of photography in Photoshop.
    • Assist with our staff photographer on projects that need multiple photographers, or when photography projects overlap/conflict.


    * Work with our visuals team, including student photographers, with the assistance and guidance of your supervisor and manager.



    • Staffthe photo studioTuesdays and Wednesdays.
    • Engage with the subjects during the portrait sessions, provide light coaching on how they are positioned, smiling, etc. to ensure the best portrait is captured.
    • Edit, lightly retouch, archive, and distribute photos to subjects.
    • Direct large groups on positioning and posing for best results.
    • Work well independently and with a lead photographer directing you on a production shoot.




Requirements:



  • Previous experience with photography, photo editing, and digital asset management.
  • Functional familiarity and experience with modern DSLR and/or mirrorless cameras, on- and off-camera lighting equipment, tripods, and other camera support systems.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills - online, in person, over the phone.
  • Strong problem-solving, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity, resourcefulness, and an ability to work under pressure are essential.
  • Great customer service and high expectations for quality.


This position is 40 hours per week with occasional night and weekend coverage required.
