The Position

Under the direction of the Aggregate Site Supervisor, the Scale Clerk is responsible for weighing and ticketing customer trucks to maintain accurate records at our Aggregate facilities. This is a seasonal position running approximately mid-April through November, depending on weather and workload.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh and ticket incoming and outgoing truck loads for onsite and remote scales
  • Print tickets and handle customers during the sale process for onsite and remote scales
  • Perform general clerical duties including answering phones, customer service, filing, and light record keeping
  • Provide administrative support to Site Supervisors and quarry staff
  • Handle all credit transactions and process cash deposit slips (no cash transactions)
  • Maintain the scale shack appropriately and order supplies as needed
  • Administer site-specific training or information as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Products
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including occasional Saturday and intermittent night shifts as needed

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience working with dispatching or scales
  • Prior experience working in customer service and cash-handling roles
  • Self-directed and motivated

Schedule

  • Seasonal position: Approximately mid-April through November
  • Primarily Monday-Friday day shift
  • Saturday hours possible depending on workload
  • Some intermittent night shift work may be required
