Position Summary The Assistant Director, Instructional Technology provides strategic leadership for a team of instructional technology specialists dedicated to transforming teaching, learning, and research through creative and emerging media. Reporting to the Senior Director, this role oversees the operational and visionary success of the NYU IT lab. Advise and consult with faculty on curricular integration of technology offerings and collaborate on new assignment design. Lead a team in creation of new technology offerings. Schedule staff and resources to optimize curricular access to technology, support, and workshops. Foster a culture of creativity while managing the delivery of comprehensive, scalable training programs for the wider NYU community. Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education: Master's Degree Required Experience: 5+ years relevant experience in managing instructional technology services and providing support for academic technology within a university or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working on a variety of projects simultaneously. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to clearly communicate concepts to a non-technical audience. Excellent organizational, project management and technical leadership skills. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $135,000.00 to USD $175,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
