Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Nursing Programs, the Assistant Teaching Professor - Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) will monitor and evaluate student performance based on established grading guidelines. The CMA instructor shall be responsible for directing, managing, and evaluating student learning in the classroom, clinical area, and designated skills labs. The instructor must hold an unencumbered Arkansas registered nursing license, two (2) year od nursing clinical experience/education experience in a designated facility, and previous experience in clinical nursing practice and/or education.Daily tasks may include but not limited to: *Coordinate skills lab check-offs and clinical competences as assigned *Plan and prepare for classroom and clinical assignments *Attend student orientations and clinical scheduling duties as assigned *Demonstrate sound knowledge of good nursing principles *Possess the ability to interpret procedures and policies and to develop, devise, and adapt techniques and methods to meet the needs of the students, clinical affiliates, and patients *Participate in faculty meetings *Maintain accurate records on attendance and student progress *Exhibit strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills *Utilize Microsoft Office to a level of proficiency *Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently toward course and program objectives *Work effectively as a team member *Work evenings and weekends as required at times *Complete other duties as assigned Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
