About the Role As a member of the TRSS Team, the Investigative Solutions Technology Specialist is a public records data and overall technology expert, who works in a pre- and post-sales context to support the sales and effective implementation of customized, integrated public records data solutions for both federal government customers and partners. The primary goal of this role is to provide appropriate technical support to assist federal government customers and partners to integrate our public records data into their systems and workflows. This role requires practical government application, as well as a base for a strong technical, sales support mindset. This will work closely with key members of the TRSS organization to ensure the effective sale and support of public records solutions to ensure the effective sale and support of integrated public records solutions for our government customers/partners. As the Investigative Solutions Technology Specialist, you will also contribute to a variety of areas including:
- Working closely with the Managing Director, Account Managers and Product Specialists to create and execute customer-specific technology trainings that align with the overall business, goals, and objectives for government customers.
- Assisting with the collection of requirements to understand unique client mission and provide a custom solution to integrate public records content into customer/partner systems and workflows.
- Providing primary technical/data consultancy and support for customer & partner-specific solutions across many different accounts.
- Designing and implementing customized batch workflow solutions for government customers that access TRSS public records data.
- Providing customer and market input into business cases for customized solutions.
- Providing strategic input to company leadership, Technology, and Product Development groups using technical expertise and knowledge of customer technology requirements and infrastructure.
- Assisting with compliance management of customer/partner solutions from pricing, technical and legal perspectives.
About You You are a good fit for the role of Investigative Solutions Technology Specialist if you have/are:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of Thomson Reuters experience or equivalent like-industry experience with public records and open-source data (field experience preferred).
- Experience with supporting related technical solutions for multiple government and commercial clients simultaneously.
- Previous externally facing technical sales support experience.
- Previous experience with Government and Third-Party Integrators business practices and technologies, including federated search and workflow/portal technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, previous presentation experience required.
- Understanding of network infrastructure and communication protocols preferred.
- Previous consulting and/or project management experience are a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of public records and open-source data.
- Experience with pre-sales presentations/demos, as well as post-sales project work.
- Ability to conceptualize, articulate and support the building of technical solutions involving public records data.
- Experience in having primary responsibility for external customers and partners, as the primary technical point of contact in support of TRSS products and services.
- Proven ability to build relationships with, and influence all levels within an organization, from senior management to technical and non-technical personnel.
- Knowledge of Thomson Reuters/TRSS products and services a must.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship essential to comply with government contract/agency or department of Federal Government requirements.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $85,500 USD - $158,700 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
