Environmental Specialist 2 positions needed: Environmental Specialist Mid-level and Environmental Specialist Entry-level Cherokee Nation Businesses is seeking a professional environmental specialist to support Cherokee and the Hickam AFB Civil Engineering Squadron (647 CES). The 647 Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) is located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The Air Force Chief of Staff has directed through the Senior Installation Management Group that Hickam AFB be restored to the Air Force as the main service. A key component of this action requires the transfer of real property and environmental project management (programs) from the Navy to the Air Force. The 647 CES requires contract support to enable this in-house capability to begin this process. The employee will support Cherokee Nation Government Solution's client, the Hickam Civil Engineer Squadron's (647 CES), mission of operating and maintaining AB facilities and infrastructure. The Environmental Specialist will advise and assist on the development and implementation of environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. They conduct research, perform data analysis, and contribute to environmental impact assessments. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with pollution control and environmental sustainability. They assist in monitoring and evaluating compliance with environmental regulations, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to enhance environmental performance. The Environmental Specialist plays a vital role in supporting environmental initiatives, conducting research, and smooth transfer of environmental programs. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Environmental Specialist: Up to $95,000 Pay commensurate with experience.
