Position Details: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday) Flexible Schedule

Core Responsibilities:



  • Working under the HSE Coordinator:


    • Assists with Administering the local HSE programs, helping to ensure HSE compliance
    • Participates in the HSE meeting and inspections
    • Conducts training
    • Assists with the preparation of applications for environmental permits
    • Collects data and prepares HSE reports pertaining to air emissions, hazard waste, storm water and accident/incident reports
    • Collaborates with engineering to assess risk, evaluate new processes, and review facility layouts for potential HSE faults
    • Collects data to analyzes key measures of performance and identifies deficiencies in day-to-day operations



  • Assists site management team with growth and continuous improvement/Lean activities.



    • Performs other duties as assigned




Qualifications:



  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively
  • Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment
  • Ability to work well with others and complete assignments on time
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or HSE role is a plus
  • Experience with MS Office preferred


Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Safety Management, Occupational safety or related degree
