Description About The Role

The Vice President, MedTech is a senior executive leader responsible for driving the overall performance, operational excellence, and strategic growth of a regulated medical device manufacturing business serving personalized healthcare, surgical planning, orthopedic implants, point-of-care solutions, and product development. This role is accountable for delivering profitable growth through strong commercial execution, customer focus, and operational leadership while advancing the organization's long-term objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, people-focused leader with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional medical organizations, developing high-performing teams, and fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, and sustainable business success.

Onsite

This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week.

What You Will Do

General Management & Business Leadership

  • Serve as the senior executive leader with full accountability for business performance and delivery against strategic and financial objectives.
  • Lead and integrate core business functions across the MedTech portfolio, including commercial/sales, engineering, R&D/product development, and patient-specific production.
  • Partner with Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing leadership to define a unified growth strategy, maintain a strong culture of compliance and patient safety, and drive harmonized operational excellence across a complex, multifunctional landscape.
  • Establish business objectives, operating priorities, and organizational goals aligned with growth, innovation, customer commitments with alignment to enterprise strategy.
  • Drive a high-performance, customer-focused culture across the organization while strengthening cross-functional execution and accountability.
  • Provide steady, visible leadership during periods of organizational change, growth, and transformation.
  • Improve organizational stability through disciplined execution, workforce engagement, and process standardization.
  • Develop operational talent and leadership capability across teams.

Commercial & Growth Leadership

  • Own commercial strategy and execution for the business, aligning growth priorities with customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Lead revenue growth initiatives, strategic account development, customer engagement, and market expansion activities.
  • Guide portfolio priorities, commercialization plans, pricing strategy, sales operations, and demand forecasting.
  • Direct new product commercialization, product launches, and technology transfer initiatives.
  • Build strong executive-level relationships with customers, strategic partners, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
  • Balance commercial growth objectives with operational readiness and manufacturing capability.

Financial Performance

  • Lead annual operating plans, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation processes.
  • Drive profitable and sustainable growth, gross margin expansion, and productivity initiatives.
  • Monitor business performance metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve financial and operating objectives.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, investment prioritization, and acquisition or integration activities as needed.

Organizational Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing executive leadership team.
  • Establish organizational capability, succession planning, and leadership development strategies.

Qualifications What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience within MedTech, medical device, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Significant executive leadership experience with direct responsibility for both commercial and operational functions.
  • Demonstrated success leading multifunctional organizations with broad business accountability and financial ownership.
  • Strong understanding of FDA/EU MDR regulations and ISO 13485.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence, profitable growth, commercialization, and operational transformation simultaneously.
  • Experience leading organizations through scale, growth, and change.
  • Experience leading regulated medical device teams.
  • Demonstrated success improving operational performance, organizational effectiveness, and execution discipline.
  • Proven ability to build and retain high-performing teams through people-centered leadership.
  • Experience balancing commercial growth objectives with operational readiness and manufacturing capability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • General Manager or business unit leadership experience.
  • Multi-site or global leadership experience.
  • Experience in scalable and sustainable MedTech growth environments.
  • Experience leading low-volume/high-mix regulated medical device businesses.
  • Experience within additive manufacturing, orthopedic, patient-specific, or personalized healthcare solutions.
