What you will be doing:

You'll manage and prioritize GIS service requests, respond to ticket updates, and deliver accurate GIS products while maintaining clear communication with requesters. Responsibilities include tracking progress within ticketing systems, ensuring quality and accuracy across deliverables, and meeting established timelines. You'll also participate in ongoing professional development through training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical skills and support team objectives.

We are looking for someone who:



  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to understand requester needs, ask clarifying questions, and align expectations.
  • Excellent attention to detail in data review, GIS deliverables, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify issues, evaluate solutions, and resolve challenges effectively.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders and team members.
  • Collaborative team player who works well across departments, shares knowledge, and supports organizational goals.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing requests and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Minimum of two(2)year of experience as a GIS professional
  • Direct on-the-job, non-academic experience with GIS technologies includingArcGIS Pro
  • Strong understanding of GIS concepts
  • Must be advancedwith MS Office Suitespecifically,Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
  • Valid Driver's License


Bonus Points if you havea bachelor's degree in GIS or related field, experience with ArcGIS Online and/or past or current Vendor GIS Certifications (ESRI, etc.)

The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for benefits and employee travel reimbursements.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff.
